We often buy whine for Friday nights… Lovely to take a glass of cold white wine on a hot summer night, when our baby has fallen asleep and calm has taken our home.
Last Friday we had a bottle of Pearly Bay Cape White. It’s from South Africa. Sugar 4 g / l, so it wasn’t too sweet!
Really good and affordable.

My grandmother gave me a box full of old recipe cards. I find it inspirating to look at them and get ideas for suppers.
One of the cards was a recipe for bread rollls with minced meat.
Remove some bread from the roll halves.
Brown minced meat and add the breadcrumbs. Add tomato paste, green olives, onion and garlic. Season with salt, pepper and basil.
Fill the rolls with meat and put some cheese on top. Bake in oven, 200 celsius till the cheese is melted and has got pretty color.

I usually make macaroni casserole, using the recipe on the Myllyn Paras’ macaroni package:
Cook macaroni and brown theĀ minced meat. Season meat with salt, pepper, paprika and curry.
Mix eggs with milk. Blend macaroni and meat into a large casserole. Pour milk and egg mix in the casserole.
Bake in oven, 200 celsius 1 hour.

I picked nettle leaves and poured hot water in a cup with couple of leaves. This is a super simple nettle tea. Grassy flavour … healthy!

This is a good lunch on a hot summer day!
Spread some mayonnaise on rye bread and top it with French cream. Add shrimps with lemon juice. Serve with boiled egg, avocado and fresh dill.
Fresh and tasty!
